#faveart Twitter competition

Imagine if you could have work from any artist, period or genre, what would be in your fantasy art collection?

We are asking you to get involved and tell us your favourite works of art. By using the Twitter hashtag #faveart you can share your thoughts on what would be in your dream collection.

The ‘tweeters’ who submit their choices will then be entered into a draw where they can win a Reward Day for two. The lucky winner will win an exhibition catalogue, a place on a tour of the exhibition and afternoon tea at the Walker Art Gallery.

To enter you should:

  • Log into Twitter
  • Go to @livmuseums and make sure you are following us
  • Tweet about your favourite artwork using #faveart
  • We will contact the winner via Twitter so we can book you in for your prize!

Do make sure you are following us though, so we can let you know if your name has been pulled out of the hat!

You can take your Reward Day on either Wednesday 4 May 2011 or Tuesday 10 May 2011, from 1pm. The free on-gallery tour entitled 'Changing tastes: collecting in Britain' will include art historian Christopher Wright talking about David Lewis's collection.

The hour long tour will finish at 2pm where the winner is then invited to enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea for two at the Walker Art Gallery café (value up to £30).
