Mackintosh’s handsome design embellishes a conventional cabinet form with individual metalwork and glass.

The circular lead panels are particularly interesting. Their design is closely related to the Macdonald’s earlier graphics, illustrating both the sharing of ideas within the Group, and their willingness to transfer motifs between different media.
