Cushion, 1902, after Frances MacDonald McNair
Embroidered cotton and wool mix fabric with applied colour, silk braids and glass beads
69.0 x 69.0 (27 1/8 x 27 1/8)
The original cushion, displayed on the settle, has not survived. This replica has been made by Liz Arthur. The design follows the fledgling bird motif found in the settle curtains and the sides of the central table. The original design for the cushion is in the Hunterian Art Gallery collection (GLAHA 52303).
