1930, Earthenware and hand-painted

Purchased with the assistance of the Friends of the National Museums Liverpool

In 1930 Clarice designed this stunning set that included a new teapot shape known as Stamford and was inspired by a silver pot by Jean Tétard, the French silversmith. Translating an Art Deco metal form into clay was not an easy task, but Clarice managed the transformation, changing only the handle.
