1930s, Earthenware and hand-painted, National Museums Liverpool

The firm of Cope produced tea wares for over sixty years, but they are better known for their range of face masks which were only made for a relatively short period. This mask, in a continental style, comes in a range of colour ways and shows a fashionable looking young woman.
