Finished artwork for the quad poster, 1983.
Feref’s Eddie Paul probably designed the poster layout for the 1982 film’s British release. A detail was also used on the video cover. Kirby’s swirling painting unites scenes and characters from the film, including hero Dar, who communicates with animals, and evil priest Maax, glowering from beneath his hoodie. Signature Kirby features include the dramatic red-black contrast and voluptuous slave Kiri’s bared buttocks. His highly-worked pencil sketch is shown in the exhibition.
