Catellan's Hanging Horse

Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan’s most famous work is ‘La Ballata di Trotsky’, ‘The Ballad of Trotsky’. A stuffed racehorse is suspended from the ceiling of the gallery, hanging in a leather harness.

‘The Ballad of Trotsky’ came to public attention as part of the Tate Gallery’s ‘Abracadabra’ exhibition. Another work featured in Art Craziest Nation is 'Cattelan’s Tree'.
