'Psyche before Venus'

A woman in classical dress kneels on the floor before a standing woman

This cartoon stands in relation to the previous one as the first two do to each other. Again, the story has moved forward very little. Juno has told Psyche that she must accept her punishment from Venus. The impression is that Romney conceived the two works as pendants - perhaps anticipating them forming a double-page spread in Hayley's translation.
