'Cupid Awakens Psyche'

A woman in classical dress reclines on the ground with a figure with wings kneeling at her feet

This was probably the eighth cartoon in the original set. The intervening seventh, now missing if it was ever completed, most likely represented Psyche in Charon's boat, an episode which occurs shortly before this one in the story. Here, Cupid is re-united with Psyche. He wakes her from the sleep of the dead, and their tribulations are over.
