For his own collected poems, Rossetti devised a less austere design than any of the previous bindings. The layout is the same but he omits the lines, and fills the spaces with a decorative gold design of small flowers and curling lines. The cloth is a dull green. The design passes across the spine, linking front and back covers. Inside, the endpapers are also patterned.
