John Robert Parsons

Portrait photograph of a young woman, seated and leaning her head forward on her left arm

Jane Morris seated, leaning forward, Albumen print by Emery Walker, after the original photograph by Parsons, Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery

In this photograph, Morris is in a similar pose to the painting 'Reverie'. This may indicate that occasionally Rossetti did indeed use photographs as visual reference points for his paintings.
