Afternoon dress of black wool crepe, the central insert of wool crepe sewn from neckline to hem with small red wool circles. Narrow revers also sewn with red wool circles. Low waistline marked by band of horizontal pin-tucks.
Hook and eye fastenings at centre front, hidden by circular plastic buckle in the form of two curling lizards. Long sleeves with deep band of pin-tucks at cuffs. Plain black silk under-slip, attached to central insert.
