Danny Rolph was born in London in 1967. He studied at Winchester School of Art 1988-91 and the Royal College of Art 1991-93. He received a Delfina Trust Award 1994-96, an Abbey Scholarship, British School in Rome 1998, and a London Arts Visual Art Award 2001. He held his first one-person exhibition at St Clement’s Church, London 1992. He has shown regularly at the Paton Gallery and Hales Gallery London 1996-2001, and his most recent one-person show was at Chapter, Cardiff 2002.

"I see my paintings as 'locations' existing between the physical and metaphysical in even balance. They represent every facet of my personality, not just human reason (intellect) but also emotions, instincts, feelings and imagination, co-existing with and for each other."
