Tim Head 'Cow Mutations'

1987
Tim Head
'Cow Mutations'

Acrylic, sandtex on canvas
168 x 209cm

'Cow Mutations', generated by the perfunctory image on a supermarket milk carton, explores a synthetic imagery only tenuously connected to the 'natural' world', uncovering an artificial terrain of simulated textures and shaped in which, slilently, anything can be changed into anything else.

Tim Head was born in London in 1946. He studied at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and St Martin's School of Art.
