Artist's statement

Given the right conditions things can grow, even in a desert.

Sometimes a desert is actually the pre-requisite of this growth.


Paul Thomas was born in London in 1951. He studied at Harrow School of Art London 1969-70, Winchester School of Art 1970-73 and the Royal College of Art London 1974-77. He has exhibited extensively, including The Trojan War Drawings The Hellenic Centre London 1999, Drawn Together (Paul Thomas & Peter de Francia) RWA Bristol 2004 and Drawing Inspiration Abbot Hall Gallery Kendal 2006. Solo exhibitions include Paul Thomas Paintings Riverside Studios London 1978 and The Iliad and the Odyssey The Drawing Gallery London 2005. His work is in collections in the UK, USA, Europe, Japan and Australia.
