  • Cloak room - There is a staffed cloakroom on the ground floor where visitors can also leave prams. Large bags and umbrellas are not permitted on the gallery.
  • The shop is on the ground floor and has a selection of jewellery, postcards, prints, books and gifts on sale.
  • Wifi - there is free wifi in the café.
  • Picnic area - You can take a picnic to St John's Gardens, which are opposite the Walker.
  • Prayer room - We do not have a prayer room.
  • Access to our archives - Visitors wishing to access our archives should contact the information desk at the Walker Art Gallery on 0151 478 4199 or contact us online here.
  • Artwork on display - We sometimes loan objects to other galleries or remove them for conservation. If you are visiting to see a particular work we suggest you contact us in advance to ensure it is on display. Call the information desk on 0151 478 4199.

  • Photography - Non-commercial photography is usually allowed across the gallery, however please check for signs in our special exhibitions when you visit. Please note that neither flash nor tripods can be used. Video cameras or other recording equipment may not be used as filming is prohibited. Anyone wanting to use the venue for location shooting of any kind should contact our press department using this form.
