
World Museum is a fantastic family day out. As well as fascinating objects from around the world, we also have an aquarium, a bug house, a theatre and a planetarium. And it is all FREE!

Here you'll find the aquarium and the Treasure House Theatre - find out what's on at the theatre in the 'events and activities' section.
On this floor you meet the natural world. You can hold and examine objects in the Clore Natural History Centre, including plants, animals and rocks.
In the Bug House you can see and be seen by bugs including spiders and insects.
On this floor you learn about the human world. There's the World Cultures gallery with objects from the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
You can also explore ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome and see Anglo Saxon objects. In the Weston Discovery Centre you can handle objects from around the world.
On this floor you'll find out about the earth. There are dinosaurs, fossils and animals from around the world.
The top floor is closest to the sky so here we have displays on space and time including rockets, moon rocks, telescopes, clocks, sundials and many scientific instruments. There's also the Planetarium and a restaurant.

As well as the objects and other features permanently on display throughout the museum we also have special events and exhibitions. These are all FREE.

The event description will tell you if you can just turn up, should collect a ticket from the information desk or need to book in advance. All events and activities are free.
