About this object

A small head from a male votive statuette. The head is slighly turning to the left and is wearing a conical hat that covers the ears. Most of the head's facial features have eroded. The head may have been the child, or part of the votive statuettes known as kourotrophoi ( holding the children ) and an example of which is in the same collection.
