About this object

A round female head from a votive statue. The face is slightly turned to the right with well defined eyes and low arched eye brows. The hair at the crown seems to be arranged in a fillet with a slightly conical end and thick grooves at the back of the head. She is wearing an earing on the right ear. There are two distinct hacking marks on the left side of the face and the top left of the head, possibly made during the excavation of the head.
