About this object

A small female head from a votive statue. The woman has flat, deep sunk eyes with broad, flat eye lids and low arched eye brows. Her nose is broken and the thin lips are smiling. Her hair covers her ears on the side and may have been arranged in a sakkos at the crown of the head. She is wearing a wreath of slender leaves and there is a thin line of hair in the forehead. The back of the head is very flat.
