About this object

A wheel made jug with a ring base, a long ovoid body, a tall and thin neck and flat rim with one vertical handle from the shoulder to the slightly everted rim. The body of the jug has vertical ribs and there is ridge at the base of the nec k The jug is decorated in the Bucchero type decoration is of Type IBc of Late Cypriot IIC2 era. The slip is dark brown.

Curator's note from archival correspondence: Maier proposed the Late Cypriot IIIA date for most of the wheel made Base Ring ware, correcting Tsielepi's date of Late Cypriot IIC.
