Thomas Eric Peet


British Egyptologist and archaeologist, educated at Merchant Taylors' School, Crosby, then studied Mathematics and Classics at The Queen's College, Oxford. As a Craven Fellow in 1906 he went to Italy to study archaeology. Trained by Garstang at Abydos and worked for the Egypt Exploration Fund at Abydos, 1909-13. Brunner Professor of Egyptology in the University of Liverpool, 1920-33. Catalogued the Egyptology collection of Liverpool Museum in 1920 and compelted a Handbook and Guide started by Percy Newberry.
