Early Cypriot I and II pottery (2500 – 2000 BC) excavated from the two cemeteries at the prehistoric site of Vounous, North Cyprus by the Australian archaeologist James Stewart and his British wife Eleanor in 1937-38.
My mother is from the town of Morphou in Cyprus and I therefore have always felt a special connection with the Cypriot collections in the antiquities department.
