About this object

Unbaked clay rectangular box that may represent a model of a coffin. Inside is a white painted figure with a yellow painted face and wearing what appears to be a broad collar painted blue. There is a small roll of clay that with may represent a model of a headrest. Excavated in 1924 in the Main City at Tell el Amarna, building label Q46.43.
