About this object

Stone carved sculpture of a pair of horses wearing bridles from a figure of a chariot. Traces of red paint and surface dirt. Pierced twice at the front. Assumed to be from Tell el Amarna but as yet no record of how Henry Wellcome acquired it. Paper label with the number 11 on the base along with trace of a pencil inscription "...2 M".
