About this object

Cursive hieroglyphs in vertical columns with black ink and red ink rubrics. Part of 87th and 85th chapters of the Book of the Dead. Chapter 87 is a "Spell for being transformed into a snake". Chapter 85 is a "Spell for being transformed into a living soul and not entering into the place of execution". Vignette in red, white and black of man adoring. Torn all round edges and not carefully presented.

This is a fragment of the same Book of the Dead as M11198 (Papyrus Mayer H).
