About this object

Mummiform shabti wearing a tripartite wig with striations added in black. The arms that are crossed on the chest, are boldly modelled. The hands hold a pair of small hoes that are added in black. A basket is painted low on the back of the shabti. The face is round in shape, and has large eyes with brows added in black. The front of the shabti has a vertical column of painted inscription that is mostly illegible. Acquired in 1848.
