About this object

Scarab shaped seal with cartouche of Ramesses II. Faience with blue glaze now mainly eroded. From grave 105. There is a modern seal impression made by Professor Newberry. Erroneously recorded and published in 1974 as being from Esna and inscribed with the name of Rameses IX.

The book includes many objects from both Liverpool collections (World Museum and the Garstang Museum of Archaeology).
