About this object

Steatite scarab seal, originally green glazed, decorated on one side with details of the wings, head and legs. The other side is inscribed with hieroglyphs (see record card for drawing). It is pierced through the length for suspension. From grave 378. There is a modern seal impression made by Professor Newberry.
