About this object

Rectangular plaque seal of carnelian engraved on one side with the prenomen of Hatshepsut and on the other with a pair of eyes (wedjat). The plaque seal is from the18th Dynasty and has been set in a swivel ring in modern times (probably when in Henry Salt's collection). Dimensions including shank = 20 x 20 mm. White label on the side with number 1725 (ex Henry Salt collection)
