Description: Excavations directed by Flinders Petrie at Abydos for the Egypt Exploration Fund. The museum provided financial sponsorship towards the costs and received a share of the finds that the Egyptian authorities allowed to be exported outside of Egypt.
The museum subscribed to the 1899-1900 excavations and received 179 finds that were accessioned on 24 September 1900, accession series 24.9.00.56-126 (mainly Early Dynastic finds from the Royal Tombs...)
The museum subscribed to the 1900-1901 excavations and received 114 finds that were accessioned on 14 October 1901, accession series 14.10.01.1-53 (mainly Early Dynastic finds from the Royal Tombs but also Middle Kingdom finds from tombs D79 and D81).
The museum subscribed to the 1901-1902 Abydos excavations and received 57 finds that were accessioned on 16 September 1902, accession series 16.9.02.1-57 (...)

Description: Th exhibition 'Pharao siegt immer. Krieg und Frieden im Alten Ägypten' (in English 'Pharaoh always wins. War and Peace in Ancient Egypt') was held at Gustav Lübcke Museum, Hamm, Germany. The museum loaned 7 Egyptian antiquities to this exhibition, displayed alongside other antiquities from museums across from Europeaand America.
