About this object

Brown steatite scarab seal with details of the head, wings and legs carved on the back, and flat base inscribed with a falcon stretching out its wings holding shen rings in its claws, above a winged scarab. Pierced through the length for suspension. Chipped on one side and surface a bit scratched and worn. Traces of white paint remain in places.

Record card says "XIX dyn or 1300 BC?".

Mistakenly labelled 1963.143.55.
