About this object

Brown steatite scarab seal with fine details of the head, wings and legs carved on the back, and flat base inscribed with hieroglyphs including a flying bird at the top, a 'men' sign, a scarab beetle and other illegible signs. Pierced through the length for suspension. Surface is quite worn and chipped on the base and around the sides.
