About this object

Glazed steatite scarab shaped seal with a design of a scarab pushing a sun disc on the underside. Fine technique. Perfect preservation. Newberry dated this to the Hyksos period but there is a pencil addition to the card suggesting Dynasty 22, reign of Shoshenq IV (unknown handwriting). Pierced through the length for suspension.
