About this object

Steatite scarab seal with details of the head, wings and legs finely carved on the back, and flat base inscribed with a seated goddess and 'neb' sign. Pierced through the length for suspension. Glaze now worn away.

Record card says "Ex. Coll. F.M. Lord Grenfell. Given by Miss F. Lawrence I.O.M.", and dates the object to ca. 1200 BC.
