About this object

Pale green glazed scarab seal with details of the head, wings and legs on the back, and flat base inscribed with illegible hieroglyphs except for an "s" sign on the left. Pierced through the length for suspension. Glaze now almost all worn away. Chipped on the base and around the sides.

Record card says "Ex. Lord Grenfell coll. Given Miss F. Lawrence I.O.M.", and dates the object to ca. 1200 BC.
