About this object

Steatite scarab seal with details of the head and legs on the back, and flat base inscribed with hieroglyphs arranged in a symetrical manner (two reed signs, two mouth signs, two ankh signs, a scarab beetle in the middle with an illegible sign above it. Pierced through the length for suspension. Glaze now worn away. Chipped on the base.

Record card says "Ex. Macgregor coll. Given Miss F. Lawrence I.O.M.".
