A pair of black ceramic round shaped ear plugs. Previously identified as "black polished pottery draughtsmen" (Downes, 1974, p.127). Comparable to today's double flared flesh plugs worn in a stretched ear lobe piercing.
Marked by the excavator in pencil with the number 4 in a circle. From tomb 253 E'05 which also contained a New Kingdom wine jar with hieratic annotation (also in World Museum's collection, no. 1977.110.34).
