About this object

Steatite scarab seal decorated on one side with details of the wings, head and legs. The other side is inscribed with the cartouche of Thutmosis III surround by circular motifs. It is pierced through the length for suspension. The object is broken lengthwise and chipped in several places. The record card says it is broken in two pieces, but the broken piece is missing. There are remains of modern white plaster suggesting an attempt was made to repair the object.
