About this object

Steatite scarab seal of white/orange colour, with details of the head, wings and legs on the back, and flat base inscribed with two cartouches containing a kheper sign and sun-disc. Pierced through the length for suspension. Good preservation. Forgery?

In the same box as 1978.116.11 which has a label saying "GEZER", so possibly also from Gezer in Israel.
