About this object

Grey steatite scarab seal with fine details of the head, wings and legs carved on the back, and flat base inscribed with the cartouche of Amenhotep III, flanked by two Maat feathers, a neb sign at the bottom and a winged sun-disc at the top. Pierced through the length for suspension. Good preservation.
