Rosalind Nash

Relative of Florence Nightingale and donor of Egyptian antiquities

Mrs Rosalind Nash was the eldest daughter of Florence Nightingale's cousin and acted as a confidante to Florence Nightingale. Florence visited Egypt between 1849-50 and purchased small antiquities such as amulets and shabti funerary figures. Mrs Nash inherited the collection and donated it to Liverpool Museum in 1949 via Salisbury Museum.
