Evelyn Holden

Donor to Tibet and Egypt collections

The Holden collection of 18 objects, mostly collected during the 1903-04 Younghusband expedition, and given by Mrs Holden on hearing of Liverpool’s 1953 Tibet exhibition and the growing Tibetan collections. Probably the collector's wife. Several objects in the inventory are recorded as being from the Younghusband Expedition and so it is likely the collector was part of the Younghusband Punitive Expedition.
