James Andrew Sandilands Grant

Scottish physician and collector

Physician who worked in Egypt, settled in Cairo and was made Bey by the Khedive. He formed a collection of antiquities which is now largely in the Marischal Museum (University of Aberdeen). Some was acquired by the Garstang Museum of Archaeology (University of Liverpool) who sold or donated parts to National Musuems Liverpool and the Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology (University of Reading).
