Egyptology Society

Members of the East Anglia Egyptian Society provided financial support to the Egypt Exploration Society for their excavations at Amarna in the 1930s. In return for their sponsorship the society was rewarded with antquities from the excavations. These were given to Norwich Castle Museum and in 1956 were sold to Liverpool Museum (now World Museum).
