The Royal Scottish Museum

Now part of National Museums Scotland.

In 1947 Egyptian 113 objects were donated to Liverpool Museum by the Royal Scottish Museum but so far no copies of the correspondence have been found. The register records them as being an anonymous donation accessioned on 14 November 1947. Many still have their original RSM record cards and are marked with RSM numbers. The donation was mainly pottery from excavations: Harageh, el Kab, Qau el-Kabir, Mahasna, Diospolis Parva, Dendera, Abydos, Beni Hasan, Tanis, Saft el-Hinna, Behnesa, Meroe and Faras.
