Katherine Margaret Paley

Katherine Margaret Gosselin of County Cavan, Ireland was born at about 1866 and died aged 82 or 83 on 26 Jan 1949. Katherine married Henry Paley, a partner in architect firm Sharpe Paley & Austin, Lancaster, who died age 86 on 19 Apr 1946. A collection of antiquities was left to their daughter Katherine Helena Paley who died on 17 Jun 1966.

On 11 August 1966 Mrs Edith Tyson curator of Lancaster Museum and Art Gallery wrote to the director of Liverpool Museums to offer "a small collection of antiquities from Egypt and Cyprus which once belonged to Mr Austin Paley of Moorgarth, Cation, near Lancaster". The heirs of Miss Katherine Helena Paley were "anxious to have them placed in a museum". The heirs were named as Miss A. M. Robson and Miss Natalie Gosselin of Moorgarth, Caton with Brookhouse, Lancaster.
