Bust of an old man, the philosopher type with long beard, identified as Sokrates because of the Greek insciption at the front of the bust. The head has a crack along the neck where it was fitted to a new bust. The man has wrinkles on his forehead. His hair is thinner at the crown of the head but long at the sides. The grooves of the long hair are shallow. The nose is a restoration. The bust is solid and with curved sides. it is also shallow at the back and the end of the dowel can be seen.
