About this object

Portrait of a man restored on modern bust.
The life-size head is turned to the right. The front hair locks are not particularly well-incised and instead form a trapezoidal-like hairline across the forehead. At the back the hair is arranged in long, curly, tousled locks. The head is massive and square-like in appearance, and the face is characterized by heavy features, especially the rather large nose. The portrait has not suffered much damage aside from the restoration of the nose, although the surface has been badly weathered.
