About this object

Bone hairpin with flat, ornamental top and tapering pin. The design of the top consists of two flattened reel forms separated by a flat, elongated, bead form and a penannular form at the end. The elongated mid-section is engraved with identical abstract motifs on both sides, filled with dark indigo pigment.
